I finally got my long awaited invite to Ingress and I have spent significant amounts of time this last week running around, fighting hard for the Resistance. Is this attempt of an augmented reality world a gaming success? Well, let me tell you all about it.

I have recently made the jump from FSX to X-Plane 10, and while X-Plane certainly has a lot of rough edges, especially when it comes to the ATC and AI traffic. But updates keeps coming and I am convinced we will eventually see an outstanding product. The weather effects and flight dynamics are fantastic and performance-wise it blows FSX out of the water. At any rate, I was recently tipped off about an iPad app called Airtrack. Its basically an app that shows you all the relevant flight information along with radio controls, and more. Fortune has smiled upon me and I am now posessing a fully specced Sony VAIO VPC-Z21. This laptop is interesting for a number of reasons, but primarily because it is, for good and for bad, a truly unique offering.
