For those of us living in countries that for some reason are not privileged to the paid apps on the Android Market, MarketEnabler has been of great help. However, after upgrading to Android 2.2 (Froyo) then MarketEnabler has stopped working for me. The solution proved to be MarketAccess, a complete rewrite of MarketEnabler This Android application emulates the SIM card of the chosen operator and makes paid apps accessible in the Android Market. You need it if you want to buy apps and games from Market, but Market is not (yet) available in your country or for your operator. MarketAccess, as well as MarketEnabler requires root available on the device. It means than you need to unlock your phone and install the su application which will manage permissions for other apps that want to get root on the device. Google for details. Download it here
